I'm not gonna get to know you any better if you stay here and hell and I head back to Tokyo!
[kuranosuke shrugs.]
Tokyo's a big city. If it turns out we don't get along after we get out of here, you can just do your own thing. But there's no reason why any of us should just have to languish in hell for all eternity. Honestly, I think there was some kind of paperwork screwup. Soldier Boy was a child murdering dickhead, but we're not all that bad.
[Hearing this stuns him into an awkward silence. Yikes. He looks away over the bar, wondering now if that is why Kuranosuke had been so loud and so bold.]
I don’t think that’s true, [he finally says, gentle.] No, I know that isn’t true because I know the things I’ve done. Most of us probably deserve to be here.
A lot of people didn’t even really care Hunter was dead at the start. What he did wasn’t right, but… most of the people feeling proud of calling Bucky a monster have probably done something just as bad to get here. If Bucky is a murdering dickhead, so am I.
So don’t let someone being nice or on your side fool you, okay?
He looks at Kuranosuke for a moment, then looks away.]
Sorta. But the demons weren't the only problem. The humans got scared, so they started attacking each other. Because when demons possess humans, they look like them. It's hard to tell who is a demon and who isn't until they lose control.
[that awkward moment when literal hell is better than your average daily life. yikes.
kuranosuke does not seem to know what to say to that at first.]
...I think you deserve a chance to live in a world that isn't literal hell or hell on Earth, though. Isn't that the point of second chances? To give you a chance for something better than what you got the first time around?
...there probably will be, but if the alternative is just sticking around here...
[he shrugs]
Anyway, we won't know til we get to that point. So like - the choice is yours. Personally? I don't think you should be stuck in hell. So if there is some way to a world that doesn't, like, suck for you, and you can feel assured that nothing bad will follow you there - I hope you'll consider taking it if you get the chance.
[For the pep talk despite Kuranosuke not knowing a damn thing about him hardly outside of what he's just said (terrible) and that he cries all the time.]
My world probably could have used more kindness like that. Like... Miki's kindness.

[He kind of glances around them with his eyes briefly.]
...There were demons back home.

[so he's from one of those worlds, huh...]
Did they do something to you...?

No, no. They didn't. He's okay. I just don't want anything bad to happen to your world. I don't want demons to be there.

I hope they wouldn't, but who knows what will happen to us after winning Satan's game. There... is probably gonna be some kind of catch.
